District Key 3

The District Committee is led by the Key 3, who represent the three key organizations within the district:

• District Chair
• District Commissioner
• District Professionals

District Chair

The District Chair is the member of the district volunteers who is listed on the council charter. The District Chair is responsible for setting direction, staffing positions and administering the operation of the district.

District Commissioner

The District Commissioner leads the commissioner staff of the district, guiding and measuring the district's unit service program.

District Professionals

The District Professionals work with the district to integrate the efforts of the district with those of the rest of the council.

Development Committee

The Development Committee is responsible for securing operating income for the district and council.

Sub-committees of the Development Committee include:

• Community Friends of Scouting
• Family Friends of Scouting
• Good Scout Award Luncheon
• Popcorn Sale

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for the recruitment and retention of both Scouts and Leaders.

Sub-committees of the Membership Committee include:

• Schoolnight Recruiting
• Webelos to Scout Transition

Program Committee

The Program Committee provides

• Camp Promotion
• Training

The District Committee is also responsible for Communications.
